Lazy Bee Honey

Lazy Bee gathers pollen and nectar from canola, alfalfa, and clover giving this honey a mild, sweet flavor.

Lazy Bee Honey started in 2004 by Bevan, Kent and Trevor Ford as a means to diversify their family’s cattle and grain farm. Over the last fifteen years, the apiary has grown to include 2500 hives situated throughout the MD of Wainwright and the Counties of Flagstaff and Beaver. Their "Lazy Bees" gather pollen and nectar from canola, alfalfa, clover, and wild native plants giving this honey a mild, sweet flavor. Lazy Bee Honey is available in liquid, creamed and raw and can be purchased at the Lazy Bee Honey shop on the farm and at shops and groceries in Wainwright, Viking, Killam, and Vermillion. Lazy Bee Honey has partnered with other local artisans in the Irma Collaborative gift boxes and is being used by other local food producers as an ingredient in meat products and artisan cheese.
