Amy has a long-standing passion for food including a professional cooking diploma in Culinary Arts from SAIT in 2004. Over the next 5 years she worked throughout Calgary in Hotels, restaurants, catering and eventually progressed to Management where she ended up in the oilfield managing kitchens for 2.5 years. She now lives on an acreage outside of Forestburg cooking for family and friends, gardening and enjoying the quiet, but busy acreage life. The idea for Bacon Jam started as a quest to find the perfect burger condiment and it quickly became a family favorite each summer, they've now tried with almost anything you can think of. She's slowly progressing away from her "day job" in massage therapy to return to her true passion in cooking, with the goal of making Bacon Jam her full time job for next year.
