As an artist deeply inspired by nature, PJ Copeland loves interpreting its beauty through her work. While nature remains a constant source of inspiration, she is also drawn to a variety of subjects, including portraiture, still life, and animals. In addition to creating original pieces, she offers commissioned artwork, capturing people, pets, and scenic landscapes with care and detail. Having spent nearly all of her adult life in rural Alberta, PJ Copeland has a profound appreciation for the land, wildlife, and environment that sustains us all. While life’s path led her to focus on raising a family and working full-time for a period, she is now thrilled to devote more time to her artistic pursuits. Relatively new to the community she is still getting to know the area and its people. Passionate about connecting with fellow artists, artisans, craftspeople, and business owners, she values handmade creations and was excited to discover Flagstaff Crafted and the beautifully curated platform it provides for talented members. Although she doesn’t consider herself a traditional business, she is dedicated to sharing her art with a wider audience. Recently, she launched a website (currently under development) to showcase her work. In previous communities, she participated in both group and solo art exhibitions, including shows in Edmonton. Recognizing the challenges of getting artwork in front of the right audience, she is always open to new venues and opportunities to share her creations. While she has already sold a few pieces locally, any additional exposure is invaluable in helping her continue her artistic journey.
