They hand-make all their products using all-natural ingredients that are sourced as locally as possible. Pure essential oils are the final touch to Springtide Essentials products that bring them to life and offer many beneficial factors for both body and mind.

Loralie Martin started this business in the Spring of 2017 after helping her daughter make Christmas presents for her friends. She really enjoyed making and experimenting with new recipes and realized she could have fun doing this as a business - "My children have all graduated now, so I have more free time to make products and work on projects to occupy my time doing something I enjoy." Springtide Essentials is still, in essence, a family business. Loralie's oldest son, who lives in Vancouver, helps with all the marketing and promotions of the business and discusses new business strategies. Loralie's daughter, on the other hand, helps at markets whenever she can. Loralie also finds that it is important to give back to the community; "My daughter danced in Hardisty at TR Dance Studio for many years and I have donated raffle prizes to their events since starting my business almost 2 years ago. We recently donated items for an online auction where the proceeds go towards the Flagstaff Kids Connection Daycare in Killam." Additionally, Springtide Essentials sources ingredients, such a goat's milk, from farmers within the region to help support the local community as often as possible.
