Western artist, Renee Gould, was born and raised in the foothills of Millarville, Alberta. She grew up on an acreage riding and training horses for an assortment of disciplines ranging from english to western. Her love of the horse has always been an inspiration for her artwork. After marrying her husband Craig she moved to Consort, Alberta, where she currently lives on his family beef and crop farm, which has inspired a more diverse subject matter of the western lifestyle. Renee attended the University of Lethbridge and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education. She works mainly with oil paint, however, she enjoys dabbling with other mediums too.
